Creating virtual switch on Hyper-V

Simple tutorial on how to create a virtual switch with an internet connection shared with a physical network card on the Hyper-V platform.

To create a virtual switch in Hyper-V:
1. Open Hyper-V Manager,
2. go to Virtual Switch Manager,
3. select the External switch type, which allows virtual machines to communicate with the physical network,
4. set the switch a name,
5. click Apply and then OK.

Your Hyper-V virtual switch is now ready to use.
You can assign it to virtual machines in their network settings.

Networking in Hyper-V requires proper configuration of virtual switches. A Hyper-V virtual switch setup enables communication between virtual machines and external networks. There are three types of switches: external, internal, and private. Proper network configuration in Hyper-V ensures secure and efficient connectivity between VMs and the host machine.
